l Two shows with Getatchew Mekuria and Guests in Getatchew's home-town Addis Abeba, where we presented the new album AND released it on cassette, 10,000 copies! Plus live on Ethiopian television... Not a bad start of the new year. +++ Then there was an excellent one-off gig in Dublin, a collaboration with Tortoise in Paris, and eight shows in Scandinavia together with Huntsville from Oslo, followed by a ten day tour of France. +++ During the months of May and June once again 22 performances of The Ex & d'Electrique in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE: Theatre in a cloudburst of violence and life-force. After the novel by Anthony Burgess. Directed by Ola Mafaalani. The hit of the "Over 't IJ" festival now in the Dutch theatres. In a different setting this time, since we were not playing on location anymore. Theatres are a different kettle of fish, with much more traveling involved, but once again the audience and us, we had an excellent time. +++ Just before the holidays, finally back in Montréal, Canada (last time there was 1994!) for two days in a row at the fantastic Suoni Per Il Populo festival and a one-off in Toronto. |
